The 2026 Wedding Flower Trends Brides Are Loving This Year

22/12/2025
Written by Lisa Cotte

Although we’re strong believers in creating wedding flowers that reflect you rather than the latest fashions, we love noticing the subtle shifts that take place each year. Looking at the celebrations we’re designing for 2026 (and the requests coming through from brides) a few clear themes are emerging. These aren’t the wild, short-lived trends you might see online (and in AI generated images!), but ideas that feel refined, romantic, and truly achievable. A timeless foundation with fresh, effortless details, which suits our aesthetic perfectly.

01: Pale Lemon & White Colour Palette

Pale lemon and white is the colour palette we love for 2026 as a fresh and uplifting take on classic neutrals. Brides are moving towards softer, lighter tones that feel clean and modern without losing any of the romance. Pale lemon adds a gentle warmth to traditional white palettes, creating an elegant look that works just as well in country houses as modern city weddings. It also surprisingly works for all seasons; whilst it screams spring/summer, autumnal blooms such as dahlias are perfectly suited to this palette. It’s also far from an ‘all-or-nothing’ palette. Brides who love a bolder look may weave the colour generously through their florals, bridesmaid dresses and stationery, while those drawn to something softer might prefer the lightest touches of lemon throughout their design. We love how effortlessly timeless it feels, whilst still offering something new.

02: Versatile Ceremony Arrangements

Ceremony florals that offer versatility are becoming a defining feature of our 2026 weddings, with couples opting for pieces that can be beautifully repurposed throughout the day. Grounded meadows, asymmetric pillars and sculptural floral moments are designed first to frame the ceremony, they to move seamlessly into the reception, maximising impact while minimising waste. These pieces work just as well outdoors as they do in indoor settings, creating an immersive, garden-style atmosphere wherever they are placed. In practice we are seeing grounded arches being used for the ceremony and then repurposed around sweetheart tables, as well as individual arrangements placed on ceremony plinths becoming table centrepieces for receptions. We love this trend as a thoughtful, modern approach that allows flowers to play a meaningful and impactful role across the entire celebration.

03: Garden-Grown, Natural Style

The idea of garden-grown, naturally styled florals has been a favourite for several seasons, and it’s not going anywhere for 2026. Brides are still being drawn to arrangements that feel organic and airy, with movement and texture that echo the beauty of an English garden. It also reflects something we’re seeing a lot; that couples want flowers that belong in their chosen space, rather than trying to force an aesthetic that doesn’t suit the venue. This style sits at the heart of our work at The Sunday Floral Studio, and it’s often one of the reasons couples tell us they chose us as their wedding florist. The best way to achieve this garden-grown look is to start with the season: notice what’s naturally in bloom, what grows well together and the colours typical of that time of year. Pairing these choices with a style that complements your venue creates florals that feel effortless, natural and truly at home in their surroundings.

04: Petite Bridal Bouquets

Although definitely not quite mainstream, petite bridal bouquets are something we are seeing more and more of, and this is going to continue into 2026. Brides are increasingly choosing dainty, pretty bouquets that feel quietly intentional rather than oversized or dramatic. These smaller designs pair beautifully with intricate or heavily detailed dresses as well as structured, modern styles. With a petite bouquet, the focus shifts to the quality of each bloom, celebrating each flower in a way that feels refined, timeless and contemporary.

05: Tall Centrepieces

Tall centrepieces are becoming a standout choice for 2026, as couples look to create impact in the reception space; a part of the day where guests spend far more time than the ceremony itself. Rather than adding bulk to the table, elevated arrangements introduce height and drama while keeping the surface clear and uncluttered. This is especially practical as shared platters and family-style dining grow in popularity, making table space more precious than ever. Tall centrepieces create a striking visual moment as guests enter the room, adding atmosphere and elegance without overwhelming the setting. We love pairing these pieces with candles and bud vases at the base, to add visual balance as well as a romantic glow to uplight the arrangements.

As we look ahead to 2026, we are so excited to see how these wedding flower trends will shape the celebrations our couples are dreaming up. We always view trends as gentle inspiration rather than rules; starting points that help us create design that feel timeless, elegant and personal to each couple. Whether brides decided to embrace these ideas or simply use them as a guide, we’re looking forward to crafting 2026 florals that feel effortless, romantic and perfectly suited to their venue and style.
