In late May, when the grounds of Hedsor House were at their most beautiful, Hollie and Jake’s wedding was a masterclass in timeless elegance. The brief was to create a day that evoked The Secret Garden, with tumbling florals, gentle textures, and loose, organic shapes that felt both alive and at home in the landscape.
When designing their wedding flowers, our focus was on reflecting the elegance of the venue while capturing the personality of their vision. The green and white palette was chosen for its enduring beauty, layered with texture and movement to create a look that felt romantic and full of life. The result was a design that felt both classic and fresh; sitting in perfect harmony with the grandeur of Hedsor House.
The Ceremony
For the ceremony, we wanted to create something striking yet sympathetic to Hedsor’s surroundings. With its unparalleled views, it was important to both us and the couple that the design complemented rather than competed with them. Instead of a traditional arch, we created a grounded floral installation that framed the couple while allowing the sweeping vista beyond to remain part of the experience. The result was an effortless focal point; impactful, romantic, and perfectly in tune with the setting.
Hollie's Bridal Bouquet
For Hollie’s bridal bouquet, the brief was for a modern interpretation of a cascading design. We achieved this using naturally trailing flowers such as sweet pea tendrils, each chosen for its sense of movement and softness. The bouquet felt organic and contemporary and moved with Hollie as she walked, acting as an elegant extension of her bridal look.
The Wedding Breakfast
The Ballroom at Hedsor House was the second main focal point of the day. With such a grand and architectural setting, every floral choice had to be intentional. The green and white palette worked beautifully here, subtly bringing a sense of freshness and lightness to the traditional space.
With a large guest list, tabletop space was limited, so we raised the arrangements to create height and breathing room. Each table featured an elevated centrepiece; a large, 360-degree design overflowing with roses, delphiniums, and garden foliage. These arrangements created a canopy of flowers above the guests without blocking the view across the room. The result was a space that felt abundant and flower-filled, yet relaxed enough for guests to feel at ease.
Personal Details
Throughout the day, Hollie and Jake included details that felt so considered and personal. A poet composed bespoke verses for each guest and handwritten letters from the couple awaited them at their place settings. Even the bud vases that we placed around the venue featured flowers grown by Hollie & Jake’s family. Small gestures and personal touches like this are easy to overlook but are so meaningful, tying all the details together and giving the celebration a sense of intimacy and individuality.
Hedsor House has a rare ability to make even the grandest celebration feel personal. Hollie and Jake’s wedding captured that perfectly with thoughtful design, natural beauty, and a sense of ease woven through every detail. It was a joy to create flowers that complemented both the setting and the spirit of the day for this wonderful couple.
